Hey! I’m Whitney. I was born and raised in the midwest and have spent the last 8 years of my life in Denver, Colorado. I got my undergraduate degree in Women’s Studies and Non-Profit Administration because I’ve always wanted a life focused on service to others. At the time of my health crisis I was eating a vegan diet and had been meat-free for over a decade. It has always been important to me to create the least amount of suffering possible in this world so I struggled with the ethics of switching to a paleo diet to improve my health. Ultimately, I decided the only way I would be able to continue serving others and making my dent in the world would be if I was healthy and happy, so I began slowly introducing meat back into my meals.
Over time, I transitioned to paleo and experienced the healing power of a primal diet. My health issues, including excessive hair loss, depression, digestive upset, brain fog, intense fatigue, and hormonal imbalance were reversed through diet and lifestyle changes. I was amazed by the impact it had on my life and eventually went back to the Nutrition Therapy Association to get my certification in Nutritional Therapy Consulting. I use my blog, Instagram and 1:1 nutrition services to teach other women about the healing power of food.
When I’m not cooking, blogging, or seeing clients, you’ll find me snuggled up and reading about personal development, camping in the mountains with my husband and our pups, going fixer-upper on our 1940’s home, gardening, or eating lots of bacon (I love bacon).
At the end of the day, my goal is to use my platform to help other people feel less alone as they navigate healing their autoimmune disease. Being authentic and transparent is incredibly important to me and I want to work with brands who value that.
I love helping brands with similar values share their mission, products and services. Here’s how I like to collaborate:
