AIP Tzatziki Sauce

Vegan Tzatziki Sauce

Servings 4


  • 1 cup unsweetened, dairy-free yogurt see notes
  • 1/2 peeled cucumber Approximately 1/2 cup shredded
  • 1 tbsp garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil


  • shred the cucumber and garlic in a food processor or using a cheese grater
  • place the cucumber and garlic on a cloth towel and ring out extra moisture
  • in a bowl, combine yogurt, cucumber, garlic, sea salt, and olive oil
  • serve on salads, with meats, or as a veggie dip


My preferred coconut yogurt for this dip is CoYo is Coconuts. It's found in most Whole Foods and Natural Grocers. 
If you prefer not to shred or food process your cucumber and garlic, you can always mince it by hand! 
Some folks have told me they like to add a splash of lemon juice and champagne vinegar to the sauce! You can also try adding dill for a little extra flavor.
