If you’re looking for Christmas Gifts 2019, you’ve come to the right place!
Are you struggling to find gift ideas for friends and family aren’t a bazillion dollars? I’ve put together some of my favorite gift ideas with price points starting at free and working up to around $200!
A mix “tape” + a love note
This is such a fun idea and requires no money, just time. You can make a mix for free on Spotify. When you write them the love note, you could share a few of the songs you included and why you thought they would like them.
Speaking of Spotify, you should upgrade your partner to premium if you haven’t already. Life is too short for commercials! You can grab them a gift card starting at $30. The yearly membership is $80 but just contribute what you can! This would be adorable paired with the above freebie gift.
Sofar is such a fun concept! You purchase tickets to a concert and they only tell you the general area the concert is in. Who is performing and exact location are kept secret until the day of the show. When the day comes, they send you the location along with recommendations for places nearby to get drinks and bites! Tickets range from $10-$30 so it’s really affordable!
Why don’t you have these already? Seriously. ($19.90)
Allbirds designs environmentally friendly footwear and people RAVE about them. Read an honest review here. ($100)
Museum membership
I’m a firm believer in experience gifts. Do you have a local museum in your area that you guys love to go to together? You could either do a yearly membership or just purchase a 4 pack of day pass for you guys to use for date nights. ($80-$100)
Staycation
This is for those who wanna splurge a little. Sometimes you can find great deals on hotels around the holidays at places like kayak.com. ($100+)
You can’t go wrong with anything from Beautycounter. From gorgeous eye shadow palettes ($34) to super hydrating moisturizer ($49), she’ll be totally obsessed. Below is a way to make a great Beautycounter gift combo for your besties (for under $25!).
These non-toxic lip glosses are flavored (think Lip Smackers without the chemicals), hydrating, and make excellent stocking stuffers. I personally will be combining a lip jelly with a body butter (see below). The entire set is $39, which breaks them down into $7.80/piece.
Okay, I’m obsessed with these. No more leaky messes! They’re period-proof underwear that are designed absorb up to 4 tampons’ worth of your period. You can use them with your Diva Cup or tampons to prevent leaks. Plus, tampons can be painful for a lot of people with endometriosis or PCOS. These are a fantastic option! ($38)
These are cozy for lounging around in or putting on under a dress. Pact is a company focused on sustainability and sources only organic cotton. You can also find them at Whole Foods. ($35)
Non Toxic Manicure Kit
This is so fun! Snag her some non-toxic nail polish from Cote for $18, throw in a nail file, and some nail polish remover, too! You could also give her one of Beautycounter’s cute hand lotions to go in there as well. Wrap it in a cute little package and VOILA! ($33-$49)
Essential Oil Diffuser
If you’re gifting essential oils, a great way to make a healthy gift basket is by pairing them with a diffuser. Diffusers disperse the calming smell of essential oils into the air and they’re great in lieu of toxic candles! I love this ceramic diffuser because it’s so pretty and blends right into home decor. ($119)
If $119 for a diffuser feels like too much, I had this one ($19.99) as a starter and it worked great!
Essential oils are a great addition to anyone’s life. Personally, I don’t think you can ever have enough of them! Lavender, bergamont, and neroli are wonderful for stress and anxiety management. I like Mountain Rose Herbs because they’re committed to sourcing from sustainable farms and only use steam distillation instead of harmful chemicals to extract the oils from plants. You could also snag this Essential Oil Kit instead of gifting 1-2. ($8.75- $36.25)
I’m pretty obsessed with my Thrive Membership. They curate tons of vegan, keto, paleo, gluten-free, dairy-free staple items and provide them at 25%-50% off retail value. It’s $59.95 for a year-long membership and well worth it! PLUS, for every membership that’s purchased, they gift one to a military family or a family in poverty. Pretty awesome!
They may think you’re trying to tell them something (maybe you are!). This is the first natural deodorant I’ve found that *actually* keeps my pits from smelling awful. It’s made with charcoal so it also helps detox your pits. WIN/WIN! Pssst.. pair it with one of your leftover lip jelliesfor a well rounded gift! ($16)
Head to the thrift store to grab them a cute little mug and pair it with a couple packets (or a whole set!) of Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee. There are so many fun blends, but I particularly love the Mushroom Mocha with Chaga and the Mushroom Coffee Latte! Throw a bow on there and you’re good to go.
Nothing says love quite like a homemade gift.
OH. EM. GEE. If you’re looking for a perfect, thoughtful gift to give.. look no further! These DIY Beeswax Candles are really easy to make (it’s as simple as melting and pouring a few ingredients!), burn really well, detoxify the air, and last! Plus, your friends and family will think of you whenever they light it up. This craft “recipe” makes 16 candles, so you’ll definitely have one for everyone on your list.
I love when friends come over to drop off homemade holiday treats. This paleo sweet & savory nut mix will please the palettes of health food junkies and junk food lovers alike. They’re easy to make and would look adorable in a little mason jar tied with string!
We all have ’em and I want to give people something that’s special and represents the things in their life they care about. That’s why I’m gifting my grandparents these beautiful prints from Little Things Studio.
I have some of these tea towels at home and I love them so much. Each design was hand drawn by artist Kate Whitley, a fellow hashimotos warrior. Kate is so talented and creates beautiful art that’s a reflection of her faith and the history of hymns. You can purchase them as a set or individually. ($18-$56)
If you’re wanting to gift more than just one hymn, you can get your loved ones the hymn calendar Kate put together with 12 of her favorite hymns. Your family can enjoy it all year long, and it’s always fun to turn the page and see what’s next. The words can be used to deepen people’s faith and reflect on what they want to bring into their upcoming month. I love it!
Donation
to the Environmental Defense Fund in their name and then snag them an accessory like some socks or a hat from Patagonia, a company dedicated to using their business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis. ($35+)
Snag them a travel reusable straw and bamboo cutlery kit so they can eat on the go without making as big of an impact! This one also includes a travel bamboo toothbrush which can be composted when they’re done with it. So cool! ($11.97)
I have read some good stuff here. Certainly worth bookmarking for revisiting. I surprise how much effort you put to create any such magnificent informative website.
